Employer User: How to Change Your Password on 12Twenty

This article is intended for Employer Users who have signed up for an account via a specific Career Center site instance or via the Employer Portal, employer.12twenty.com. Use this article to learn how to reset your password.

Logged in via Account Settings

  • If you remember your password and simply want to update it, you can do so via Account Settings

  • Log into the 12Twenty platform via a specific site instance or via employer.12twenty.com

  • Once you arrive on the homepage, click on your name in the lower lefthand navigation of the platform - this will open a small pop-up that gives you the option to "Log Out" in addition to "Account Settings"

    • Click on "Account Settings" to redirect to your Account Settings

    • Under Account Settings, go to the "Security" tab and click "Edit"

    • In the "Edit" box that appears, type in your current password, then select a new password that meets the specific requirements 12Twenty provides, and select to "Save Changes"

      • Minimum 10 characters

      • An uppercase letter

      • A lowercase letter

      • A special character

      • A number

      • Example: ThisSchool10$

      • If you meet the password requirements, you will receive a confirmation pop-up that your changes have been saved

Forgot Password, Reset Externally

  • If you cannot remember your password and cannot log in to a site instance or employer.12twenty.com, you can reset your password externally.

  • Navigate to the site instance you want to log on to

  • Select "Reset your Password" highlighted in green in the screenshot below

  • This will redirect you to a new window, where you will be asked to input your email address, so the password reset link can be emailed to you

  • The password reset email should arrive in your inbox within 5-10 minutes of requesting - if you cannot find the email, make sure you check your spam folder

  • Follow the link in the email to reset your password

If you find yourself locked out of a site instance despite requesting a reset password link and creating a new password, you may have exceeded the allotted attempts at entering your password - if you encounter this, reach out to support@12twenty.com, and we can manually reset your password attempts to zero.
