Leveraging Hyperlinks and Tags in Email Templates
Using the rich-text editor when creating your email templates can help you create a dynamic and eye-catching email. You can also leverage hyperlinks to link students or employers to specific forms, events, or other websites. You can use tags such as First Name or Last Name to personalize your email template.
You can add a hyperlink to a word or an image. Simply highlight the word or image and select the chainlink located in the toolbar to add a hyperlink:
Once the "Link" option pops up, add the necessary link information and click "OK" to save.
Want to personalize your email template? Make sure you are adding the name tags to your templates!
To do this, click on the tag icon on the toolbar.
From the pop-up, select from available tags to add them to the body of the email template.
These tags will automatically insert the first name and last name as indicated on the student or employer profile when the email template is sent to the end user. Please note: When sending a test email, the tags will not change. For more details on sending a test email, please see the next section of this article, "Testing Email Templates"!
