FAQs

Can I edit an email after scheduling it using Email Studio?
Yes, scheduled emails can be edited, but it’s important to preview changes carefully, as editing can affect the email’s formatting.

How can I save a design to reuse later?
Use the “Save as Template” option within Email Studio to name and store your designs for quick access in future emails.

Can we use raw HTML in Email Studio?
Yes! Simply launch Email Studio and select the option to start "From scratch." Then drag the "HTML" block from the editor and paste your HTML.

Can we import custom fonts?

Yes, but you must import your own HTML (which email studio supports), however popular email clients (like Outlook or Apple Mail) will only render web-safe fonts unless the custom font is installed on the user’s system, so it is not an industry best practice to use a custom font in emails for compatibility reasons

Is Email Studio available to all user types?
Only admin users and those granted specific permissions listed above can access Email Studio features.

Can I export email recipient lists after using Email Studio?
Yes, recipient lists can be exported directly from the Email Activity page, including details like name, email, subject, and engagement metrics.

How does Email Studio comply with accessibility?
Email Studio generates clean, semantic HTML with accessibility in mind. It embeds best practices automatically—like ALT text for images and proper semantic headings (H1, H2, H3)—to enable more inclusive content. If you have any specific questions about the output, please reach out to support@12twenty.com

What happens if an email link has Target: None, and why is this the default?
Links will always open in a new tab regardless of how this value is set- Gmail, Outlook, and most other email clients ignore it and decide how to open links (new tab, same tab, or external browser). HTML in these platforms is sanitized and rewritten before displaying.

How should I test email links?
Always send a test email via the "Actions" menu so you can test the link from your email client. 12twenty won’t open external URLs inside the app preview.

My email is being clipped when it reaches a user's inbox, help!
When Gmail or other email clients detect the total HTML size of the email is over 102KB, it simply stops loading the code after that limit, clipping the email. If your email contains may links (e.g., 50+), the excessive size is usually attributed to these links because each one is wrapped in a tracking URL so user "clicks" can be reported on. We recommend reducing the number of links so that clipping does not occur. Use an HTML Size Analyzer to estimate the size of your email.

Email "Open Rates" are significantly lower than we usually see, what could be the issue?

Because the email is getting clipped, the "Open Link" tracking pixel (located at the bottom of the email) is not loading when the user opens the email because the email is getting clipped. Therefore, the email size is the ultimate item that needs to be addressed- reduce the size of the email to eliminate clipping, and the email tracking issue will be resolved.
