Timing & Deadlines
When you manage compliance cycles, it is important to understand how the platform calculates deadlines. Rather than counting a literal 90-day window student-by-student, the system uses calendar-month cutoffs tied directly to specific graduation terms. You can learn more about outreach timelines here.
The platform evaluates your data using a dual-layer timing check:
- First Layer (Offer or Acceptance Date): The system looks at the student's individual graduation term. It verifies that the student secured their role within the official compliance timeframe allowed for that specific term.
- Second Layer (Reported Date Cutoff): The system uses the Reported Date—the date the student added the outcome to the platform or reported it to the career center—to set a final "last call" for outcomes. For a graduation year, the system calculates this final cutoff date based on the latest graduation term in that reporting cycle. Your team must list the student's outcome info before this specific term-based cutoff passes. If the reported date is listed as after that final date, the system will automatically stop counting it toward that class.
| Program Format | Offer/Acceptance Windows | Reported Date Year-End Cutoffs |
|---|---|---|
| Full-Time MBA | Must fall within 3 months of the individual student’s graduation date. | Must be logged within 4 months of the latest graduation date in that specific graduation year. |
| Full-Time Specialty Master's | Evaluated by graduation, within 6 months post-graduation, or after 6 months. | Must be logged within 7 months of the latest graduation date in that specific graduation year. |
| Part-Time / Snapshot Tracks | Must fall within 4 months of the individual student’s graduation date. | Must be logged within 5 months of the latest graduation date in that specific graduation year. |
💡 Admin Control Tip: To completely stop students from adding late entries after a deadline passes, go to *Site Settings > Outcome Survey*, find the current class, and toggle the *Post Graduation* survey switch to Off.
Data Collection Attributes & Roster Rules
Use these guidelines to verify your survey attributes. The sections below mirror your backend site settings to make finding these fields easy.
- ⚠️ Universal Admin Baseline: For all outcome types across every program, the only two universally mandatory attributes required to save a record are Reported Date and Knowledge Source.
- 📝 Contract Positions Feature: Standard outcome attributes support accurate compliance reporting for contract roles. Students reporting a Post Grad job outcome in a Full-Time MBA or Masters program see the question: "Is this a contract position?" When set to "Yes", a follow-up question confirms if the position meets all criteria to be considered an accepted offer (3+ month duration, 30+ hours/week, and MBA-level).
2026 Compliance Update: Optional Undergraduate Major Tables
Per the 2026 compliance updates, the specific tables that break down compensation metrics by undergraduate disciplines are now optional. This applies to:
- Full-Time MBA Employment Report: Table 4.K – Compensation by Undergraduate Major
- Full-Time Specialty Master's Employment Report: Table 4.L – Compensation by Undergraduate Major
Data Collection Rule:
- If your school chooses not to use these tables: Your team does not need to gather or require past education information (specifically Undergraduate Major and Undergraduate Major Location) from your students.
- If your school chooses to use these tables: Your team must continue to collect Undergraduate Major and Undergraduate Major Location data on student profiles so the platform can populate Tables 4.K and 3.E.
