Product Roll Out

Beginning in July 2026, the School Offices and Career Center Calendar will be available only to career center admins while university partners complete their profile pages and begin populating their calendars.

The module will then be released to all users, including students, alumni, and employers, in mid/late August, with a specific date to be announced toward the end of July.

Career Center Calendar Overview

The Career Center Calendar displays School Office Events. These are calendar events associated with one or more offices.

For a site with one office, the Career Center Calendar can serve as the main calendar for the career center. For a site with multiple offices, the same calendar can display events across offices while still allowing users to view events associated with a specific office profile.

A School Office Event is not the same thing as a standard Events module event. School Office Events are designed for calendar visibility and office-sponsored calendar content. They do not automatically create an Events module event, registration workflow, check-in process, or attendee management workflow.

A School Office Event can include:

  • Title
  • Date and time, including multi-day events
  • All-day event setting
  • Event type
  • Population, which is informational and does not control visibility
  • Associated office or offices
  • Location type and location details
  • Description
  • Visibility settings
  • Academic program or major, industry, job function, employment type, practice area, and contact fields when enabled for your site

All-day events appear in the all-day area of Day and Week calendar views.

View the Career Center Calendar

  1. Go to Calendar from the left-side menu.
  2. Select the Career Center Calendar tab.
  3. Use calendar view or switch to list view.
  4. Search by event title or apply filters to narrow the list.

By default, the Career Center Calendar shows active events.

Add an event to the Career Center Calendar

Administrators with Manage All Offices or Manage Associated Offices permission can add Career Center Calendar events.

To add an event:

  1. Go to Calendar.
  2. Select the Career Center Calendar tab.
  3. Select + Add Event.
  4. Enter the event details.
  5. Select one or more offices.
  6. Configure visibility and any additional details
    1. Office events can be made visible to admins, students and employers
    2. Admin and student groups are supported

  7. Save the event.

You can also create an event by dragging on the calendar if you have permission to add events.

If your site has multiple offices and you manage associated offices only, you can add events only for the offices you manage.

Add an event from an office profile

Administrators can also add events from an office’s Calendar tab.

  1. Go to School Offices.
  2. Open the office profile.
  3. Select the Calendar tab.
  4. Select + Add Event or drag on the calendar.
  5. Complete the event details and save.

When you create an event from an office profile, that office is selected automatically.

Cancel a Career Center Calendar event

Canceling a Career Center Calendar event makes the event inactive.

Administrators with Manage All Offices can cancel events for any office. Administrators with Manage Associated Offices can cancel events for offices they manage.

To cancel an event:

  1. Open the event from the Career Center Calendar or from an office Calendar tab.
  2. Select the event action menu.
  3. Select Cancel Event.
  4. Confirm the change.

Publish an Event to the Career Center Calendar

Events created in the Events module can also be published to the Career Center Calendar. This is useful when an event should appear both as a standard event and as part of the office-sponsored Career Center Calendar.

Administrators with Manage All Offices or Manage Associated Offices permission can publish eligible events.

Eligible event statuses include:

  • Application Open
  • Application Not Open
  • Viewable on Publish Date
  • Registration Not Required

To publish an event:

  1. Open the event in the Events module.
  2. Select the option to publish the event to the Career Center Calendar.
  3. Review the pre-filled Career Center Calendar event details.
  4. Select the appropriate office or offices.
  5. Save or publish the event.

When an Events module event is published to the Career Center Calendar, the two records are linked. Updates to the source event are reflected on the linked Career Center Calendar event.

To stop syncing future updates, unpublish the event from the Career Center Calendar.

If a student, alumnus, employer, or administrator needs to register for the event, they should use the linked Events module event. The Career Center Calendar provides calendar visibility, while the Events module continues to manage registration, approvals, attendance, and other standard event workflows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does adding a Career Center Calendar event create a registration event?
No. A standalone School Office Event is a calendar event. It does not automatically create an Events module event, registration form, approval workflow, check-in process, or attendee list.

If registration is needed, create or use an Events module event and publish it to the Career Center Calendar.

Will existing Events module events automatically appear on the Career Center Calendar?
No. Existing Events module events are not automatically published to the Career Center Calendar. Administrators can publish eligible Events module events to the Career Center Calendar or add new School Office Events directly.

What happened to the old My Calendar menu item?
My Calendar is now available as a tab on the new Calendar page. Students can continue using My Calendar from that tab.

Can students add Career Center Calendar events to My Calendar?
The Add to My Calendar action for Career Center Calendar events is not included in Phase 1. The Career Center Calendar and My Calendar are separate calendar views in this release.

Can users add Career Center Calendar events to an external synced calendar?
No, Career Center Calendar events cannot currently be added to an external synced calendar from the Career Center Calendar.
