The Experiential Learning Progress Report provides administrators with a high-level, visual summary of student progress across all experiences. This new view enables users to quickly assess the status of individual or grouped experiences, e.g. all students completing a Spring 2026 internship, based on approvals, forms, documents, and overall progress. Use the progress report to identify delays, spot bottlenecks, track completions, and manage experiential learning programs more efficiently.
Overview
A new Progress Report tab is now available within the Experiential Learning module for admin users only. This tab displays every experience the user has permission to view (respecting all Admin Group visibility settings), and includes all Experiential Learning and associated student/employer filters.
Each row in the Progress Report shows:
Experience & Student Information
A calculated progress bar (0–100%)
Initial Approvals
Final Approvals
Form Completion
Document Uploads
Overall EL Status
Experience Column
Each experience is displayed in a structured 3-line format:
Line 1: Employer Name (links to the experience record)
Line 2: Student Name (links to the student profile)
Line 3: Progress Bar (visually represents the experience’s overall completion percentage)
Progress Bar
Progress is calculated automatically and updated whenever changes occur on an experience. It is stored as a percentage, with 100% indicating full completion, and displayed as a green progress bar.
The progress bar offers a visual approximation of an experience’s progression and is not intended to represent an individual student's progress with exact precision.
Progress Bar Methodology
Progress is calculated as a point system, where the following is considered a “completed” point. Total points will vary for individual experiences, depending on approver configuration and relevant forms/documents.
Initial Approvals (each approver = 1 point)
Forms completed (each form = 1 point)
Any document uploaded = 1 point total
This applies regardless of the total number of documents associated with the experience, as many documents available on an experience are optional.
Final Approvals (each approver = 1 point)
Special considerations:
When an experience is in Status = Complete, the progress bar will always be set as 100%.
When the “bypass approvals” function is used, points are awarded for each approver in that step.
Approvals
Both Initial Approvals and Final Approvals display approvers using name labels paired with color-coded circle icons.
