The Student Event Registration Survey allows event administrators to collect important information from students and alumni during the event registration process. This helps you better plan and deliver events by gathering details such as attendance preferences, dietary restrictions, accessibility needs, and event goals.
What Is the Registration Survey?
The Registration Survey is a custom, event-specific mini survey that appears as part of the student registration workflow. When enabled, registrants are required to answer all survey questions before completing their registration.
Common use cases include:
Food options or dietary restrictions
Accessibility or accommodation needs
Goals or expectations for the event
Each event can have its own unique survey, tailored to the information you need.
How to Enable a Registration Survey
Navigate to Add Event or Edit Event.
Scroll to the Registration Survey section (located below Registration Documents).
Toggle Enable Survey to ON.
Click + Question to begin building your survey.
Note: The Registration Survey section is visible only to admin users.
Building Your Survey
You can add up to 10 required questions per event. Each question includes:

Options (for dropdown questions only)
Enter each option on a new line
Once added, questions are displayed as a list showing the question text, type, and options (if applicable).
You can delete a question at any time by clicking the X icon and confirming the action.
Important Rules to Know
To protect data integrity, the following rules apply once students begin registering:
Questions cannot be edited after at least one student has registered.
New questions can still be added at any time.
Students who registered before the question was added will have a blank response.
Questions can be deleted, which will also remove any responses already collected for that question.
All survey questions are required for registrants.
When duplicating an event, the Registration Survey and all of its questions are copied to the new event.
Student Registration Experience
When enabled, the Registration Survey appears as the first step in the registration flow:
Registration Survey → Documents → External Application Confirmation → Time Slot Selection
If a student abandons the registration process at any point, no registration is created, and no survey responses are saved.
Accessing Survey Responses
Exporting Responses
Survey responses are included in the Registered Students export:
Go to Event Detail → Registered Students tab
Select More Actions → Export All
Each survey question appears as its own column
Student responses appear in the corresponding rows
Audit Log
All additions, deletions, and changes to registration survey questions are recorded in the Event Audit Log, providing a summary of updates made to the survey.
